Capital Hill & Fremont Redux

First impressions of food & places aren’t always accurate, so we revisited two of our favorites and added a trip to North Queen Anne. Morning grayness broke way in the early afternoon to a terrifically sunny, comfortable 60 degree day. The pics below are of the Google and Adobe campuses in Fremont (the famous Fremont troll is under the bridge but not shown here, Bing it!) and Ally’s super tasty turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich and fried pickles from nearby uber-green upstart Homegrown. We actually tried to order a bottle of water with lunch without noticing their mission statement painted on the wall that clearly rejects such wasteful excesses. The hippies up here are serious! We’re sitting in the hotel room with the windows open listening to the nearby reggae music festival at the Seattle Center and amazed at how bright the sky is at 9pm!
